This afternoon my boss and I traveled to northeast Story County to meet with landowners who were interested in protecting their property. Did some hiking to document the landscape. There were beautiful stands of old oak trees. A long stretch of creek ran through the length of the property. This is a look west - you can see some newly assembled wind turbines in the distance. I hadn't seen that part of the county and was surprised at the number of wind turbines. Most of the land to the west and south of this property was pretty flat (and apparently windy).
